Global Top 5 Companies Accounted for 14% of total Flyash market (QYResearch, 2021)

Flyash, also known as fly ash, is a coal combustion product that is composed of the particulates (fine particles of burned fuel) that are driven out of coal-fired boilers together with the flue gases. Flyash is an extremely fine powder consisting of spherical particles less than 50 microns in size. Fly ash is one of the construction industry's most commonly used pozzolans. Pozzolans are siliceous or siliceous/alumina materials possessing the ability to form cementitious compounds when mixed with lime (calcium hydroxide, or Ca(OH)2) and water.

Fly ash concrete has also been praised for its environmental benefits as a “green” building material—putting to use an energy production byproduct that reduces the demand for carbon-intensive portland cement and requires less water in the hydration process.

At present, most of fly ash products are not recycled, and only 40-80% of fly ash is recycled. Since the recycling of fly ash has been encouraged and supported by many countries, the market for recycling of fly ash has been growing steadily.
